pcAnywhere
Replaces Carbon Copy® as the standard remote control application for the
Altiris platform. pcAnywhere Solution is a centrally managed application for
remote administration and helpdesk support in a corporate environment.
Notification Server is included to provide central management. And, Access
Server is included to expand connectivity options with support for
internet-based connections and the ability to host an on-demand agent.
pcAnywhere Solution provides the following capabilities: Client access over
LAN, WAN, and Internet; Intiate remote sessions from the Altiris web-based
console using industry leading pcAnywhere technology and conduct file
transfers from computer to computer; Centrally manage agent deployment and
configuration through the Altiris console; Customize agent security settings
based on user roles and define computer scopes to manage remote control
access; Reports and notification policies validate agent security settings
and show remote session details.
Real Time Systems Manager
Enables you to manage virtually any Windows computer remotely from a
browser. Use Real-Time System Manager Solution to view real-time status and
configuration data, and perform numerous diagnostic and management tasks
from any computer with a Web browser.
Software Management Solution
Altiris® Software Management Solution™ from Symantec® provides secure,
bandwidth-sensitive distribution and management of software from a central
console. The product intelligently leverages known relationships defined in
the Altiris Definitive Software Library to ensure that the correct software
gets installed; remains installed, and can operate free from interference
from other software.
This solution also includes the Wise software packaging tools. This provides
tools to manage, create, test and modify your installations and
applications. You can Customize Windows Installer installations by
simulating package installations while making and saving changes to a .MST
file. Also, create simple and/or advanced Windows platforms scripts using
wise script general-purpose scripting language especially suited for
developers and administrators.
