As part of an initiative to provide process automation and integration across the Symantec product portfolio, Symantec will be including workflow as part of the Symantec Management Platform. Since it will be now leveraged by all Symantec customers, Symantec is announcing the discontinuation of the for sale SKUs for Symantec Workflow. 

The discontinuation will be effective 2nd August 2010. All Symantec customers will have access to the full suite of Workflow functionality via the Symantec Management Platform with this change. Customers who are using Symantec Products that utilise the Symantec Management Platform and Workflow will be able to receive support for workflow either through their stand alone legacy SKU or through the Symantec product that is utilising workflow functionality via the SMP.

Updating the Symantec Management Platform via Symantec Installation Manager after the transition will install the latest version of Workflow to the SMP with all functionality available.  Current workflow projects will continue to run after the update as well. All Symantec customers are entitled to use Workflow via the Symantec Managment Platform.
