| PureLoadTM |
| Requirements |
| PureLoad is a Java application and should (see below for verified platforms) run on any platform that supports Java 2 version 1.3. This allows you to leverage as much hardware that you have available no matter what platforms. |
| We recommend Java 2 version 1.4. |
| Platforms |
| We have tested PureLoad on the following platforms: |
Windows NT/2000/XP (server editions)
Linux Redhat 7
Solaris/SPARC 8
(Customers have reported successful use on other platforms even though we haven't verified it).
| Note: For evaluation purpose Windows 98 works fine, but when running a real load-test, with many workers, Windows 98 is not recommended. |
| Disk space |
| 12 MB free hard disk space for PureLoad and additional space for Java VM (if not already installed). |
| Memory |
| Each PureLoad process needs at least 64 MB of RAM. During execution the memory requirement increases, depending on the actual scenarios, number of workers, number of tasks etc. |
| Installation |
| The PureLoad software is distributed in a self-extracting format. Simply execute the installer and answer the questions. |
